I quit sometime in October last year after the Halloween event because working 40 hours pretty much took over my life.
I pretty much just have a 30 Marauder right now. Any tips on what to do and can anyone tell me what has majorly changed? Explain the new jobs to me?

Thanks guys,

Take a look at the most recent patch notes if you haven't already. There is a new combo system for battles, some recipes have been changed, you can buy directly from the wards menu, inns have been added to give rested exp, there are new dungeons and the advanced jobs. More than that has changed but that's what I can think of off the top of my head. There will also be server mergers next week.

Would the new job quests be hard if you go in with the main character leveled at 30? And how hard are the equipment quests for it?

The first couple of job quests can be solo'd at around level 40, I believe. Finding someone to duo with is safe bet. You can usually find someone willing to help with those, especially if you have a linkshell. The gear quests are available when you hit level 45; two of the gear pieces can be found at two locations in the field, one piece will be in one of the three dungeons, and one piece will be in one of the three beastmen stronholds. The final piece can be obtained at level 50, and generally will require a full party to complete.

If you do the job quests at the min. required level the will be challenging. The quest vary in difficulty with some being soloable and some requiring a skilled full party. The Bard final quest being the hardest IMO. They are fun and involve different strategies. And you will be a Warrior which is insanely overpowered!

Haha, thank you guys. I've been training GLA to 15 and I'll do what quests I have left over with MRD and then I'll probably try to start the Warrior quests. What's the best way to get the Grand Company seals right now?

Edit: Also, I'll be looking for a LS once the server merge is done. I'll be on Sargatanas.

The best way to get GC seals for you right now would be to do all the quests. Make sure you spend the seals on training books for the two GCs you DON'T want to be in before you get your Choco (assuming you don't have it already).

Haha, I did that already before they actually released the GC ranks, but I left shortly after that. Thanks, though.

Do some DH or toto-rak or hunt NMs. You can turn in the drops for lots of seals.

I figured toto-rak was the place to go since that's the only thing I really remember doing. Thank you.

I got back to the game recently as well. I have all my classes at lv 10. Do you guys recommend I start fresh or continue with any of the lv 10s?

You may as well level some of them up. You'll need one class at 30, and another corresponding class at 15 in order to unlock a specific job.

I'm looking for the chart right now.

Edit: Here's the patch notes. The first chart shows the quest, and which classes correspond to their jobs.

I know what you mean, I played DRG back in XI. I'm really tempted to go through LNC just to get the AF but I'm gonna stick with getting warrior for now. DRG for life though!

So far I got my GLA to 15 today and got my CON to 6 so I can get Protect. I think I'm going to start the Warrior quest line soon.
