While there was one other 680 thread out there I noticed, I did not see any thread specifically for hardware results so I thought I'd make one for people out of curiousity with regards to the GTX 680. It seems like the classic "Is x hardware good enough to play?" thread is buried or archived.
Depending on how the new engine works out, it seems like it may not need as much power as the original but it depends on the reolutions and settings you play on of course (on any engine).
I previously owned two 580s and they'd only have purely fluid results in XIV when they were SLI'd - something that I could not do once I put larger coolers on them.
Performance compared to the 580s in general is astounding... 33-50% better; all while being far less noisy and cooler. The fan is practically silent on my card until 70%.
Not any kind of "official" review but thought I'd share my results.
I ran both high and low settings of course but forgot to screencap the low run, sorry.
Hope this helps for anyone curious or looking at the card.
