I see that they have merged servers together, while reading information regarding the changes that have taken place since I last played, I found out that they made it manditory to transfer servers or some such thing, I was on besaid and did not do any server transfer and now that time has passed, my question is, can I still get a transfer, and, which of the new servers created by the merge has the highest population, and which has the highest ammount of english speaking players, (don't care from where in the world).

Thank you for your time and I really hope to get back into playing smoothly, I played from beta for a while after the first launch and enjoyed it but there was a dwindling amount of players so I decided to take a break and wait and see what the changes brought, They look solid and I am looking to return and would like help getting situated.

It's too late to request a transfer, and according to your sig, it seems you're now a resident of Balmung.

also, I have several classes that are level 30, I can start the quest for just about every job, should I keep my current character or is it worth starting over after being away for a while. I just know I want to get dragoon, just worried about being able to find groups and get through the quests though. So, I would like to know what the situation is for people on Balmung, getting your AF for your job etc.

If you don't like the server you are on, AND you don't have a large stockpile of gil... then creating a new char may be worth it. However, I don't think I've seen any complaints about dead servers.

Everyone on mine seems happy as larry, even the whinge filles lodestone forums are mostly singing praises about how wonderful their new server is (apart from certain server names, but that's about the name only and nothing else)

Balmung is very much more populated since the merger and everything is a lot more active. Standing in Uldy now sees a pretty constant stream of shouts for stuff.
