hey everyone, i started playing FFXI a while ago and then i kinda stopped but know i want to pick it back up with FFXIV. I was wondering if would be able to run FFXIV with these specifications or if still need upgrades for the min requirements ( I suck when it comes to computer parts and stuff like that)

here are the specs:

AMD Quad-Core A6-3620 Accelerated Processor with AMD Radeon HD 6530D graphics

8GB PC3-10600 DDR3 SDRAM

4MB L2 cache memory

1TB Serial ATA hard drive (7200 rpm)

AMD Radeon HD 6530D graphics

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Edition 64-bit operating system

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

You should have no problems running FFXIV on that set up. Currently i am using a 4 year old DELL with nothing more then an updated Video card and power supply (until money allows for an upgrade). So i would say go for it. Only upgrade i would recommend would be a solid state drive for main operations, the rest seems fine.

That's what you have or what you're building? If it's what you have then fine. If it's what you're building, IMO I'd bump up the GPU a generation.

An SSD, while great, is a stupid investment if soley for this game.

I fully agree, if the only thing you run is FFXIV, a SSD would set you back 250$ and you will not notice it. With that in mind if you use the PC for anything more i highly recommend it.
