Asking for help the right wayFollow

I'm just curious about the etiquette of asking for help in game? I hit level 30 conj this weekend, and already have glad to 15, which I guess means I am now ready to try and tackle my WHM quest. However, I'm unsure as to the best way to go about finding people for this.

To start, I have managed to find my way into a linkshell, but it's a brand new one, and most of the players are actually lower level than I am. Outside of duoing totorak with a monk yesterday, I have never actually grouped with anyone in game, or even spoken with anyone outside of the LS. I guess I'm just wondering, is it okay to ask for players using /shout in Uldah? Even though I basically have never done the WHM quest (or any class quest before)? What incentive do other players have (besides being nice) to run other player's class quests? And what are the expectations for me should I try to put together the group?

Blech, I hate asking people for help (personally, inside and outside games). =(

If you happen to be on Hyperion, I can help you out with it. Character name is the same as my user name here (Stasis Korial). I'm like you in that I'm not a fan of asking for help. You could head over to lodestone and check your server forum. I found a nice LS that way, and you may be able to dig up some new friends.
