Seeking Mentor on ExcaliburFollow

Last night I decided to re-up my subscription to XIV and check out whats gone on since I quit and was pleasantly surprised by the upgrades. Weaponskills seem much more responsive, the new weaponskill animations are nice, and I have a moghouse now :D The one problem I am running into is my complete ignorance of what to do and where to go other than just grinding levequests. This problem is compounded by the fact that I have no friends on the game anymore and don't have a linkshell. Anyone want to take on a returning newbie and give me a little guidance?

When I first started playing XI, I made a friend in Bastok when I was like level 3 who was an experienced player and showed me the ropes, helped me unlock new jobs, walked me to jeuno, showed me how to get my chocobo license, and etc. He invited me to his linkshell where I remained for years and years and we became great friends.

Heres hoping lightening will strike twice as I am a little overwhelmed with XIV, I really could use a mentor and/or a linkshell to help me get re-established and point me in the correct direction.
