FilthMcNasty, I'm not sure if you're being serious or sarcastic and the humor fell flat.

If your replying to me, there was no humor. I made this post because I didn't see yours up yet UK. Probably because I'd been fapping to all this info for the last hour on lodestone. It's true what your mother tells you, ************ does make you blind. I would have deleted this thread if I could.

If your talking about Filthy, then yes, flat. Mainly because I expect them to port it over to the PS4 when it releases.

I believe my exact words when I saw this info was

Panties.

Wet.

No, not you. I meant FilthMcNasty. PS3 is on a 10-year model, and it's been stated as such for a while by Sony. We won't see PS4 details until the middle of this decade.

I assume you don't read PS3 mags. They've been predicting PS4 for late 2013/early 2014 for some time now. They've even got a name for it.....Orbis.
PS3 may have a 10 year cycle, but it will run alongside PS4. Just as the PS2 ran alongside PS3.

Super serious.

A model is just that, a model. Just because Sony put forth a model doesn't mean they are contractually obligated to wait 10 years before releasing PS4. Sony is a business. They will innovate, produce, market and sell a product if they believe there is a market for it. It's not like they'd just drop support for all of the PS3 projects. The two can and will coexist. It wouldn't be the first time and the way technology progresses, certainly not the last.

You don't like my humor? **** you my man. SE is going to pull a PS3 version out of their *** 3 years late and you talk about port like it's going to be something easily accomplished? We'll see what's funny when your PS4 port is only available to be played with Move.

"Dude, why are you just standing there like an idiot?"

"Bro, I'm auto-attacking!"

I've got a computer, why would I want a PS4 version? Or a PS3 one for that matter. And I didn't say that I didn't like your humor, I agreed that it was flat. You know, like your girlfriends ******** Just cause their flat though doesn't mean I don't see her naked while your at work.

Fascinating. After so many years, I`m still mesmerized by the bottomless abyss of forum discussion.
Whoever asked me why I`m still here though I don`t even play the game: this is it. The post above is
just what gives me a sense of superiority even when my research has hit a concrete wall.

Thanks for the smile! ;)

On a serious note, you should care about a PS3 version because it's going to be the reason why XIV looks ****** on your PC. You should care about a PS3 version because if you enjoy this game, you want it to survive and PS3 version success is the deciding factor. Do you like playing with yourself?

Yes, me too. Quite a bit better than his usual boob talk.
Just imagine the faces of all those PS 3 owners who
have been waiting for what... 3 (?!) years in vain, bought
FF XIII for the beta invitation, sacrificed their firstborn...

Just to be told:

PS2 limitations prevented XI from looking better on PCs only until people learned how to hack the registry to extract better performance.

I'd hope they keep the same underlying options in the new release of XIV. Got the power to run it at max settings? Crank it up. Apparently, the E3 demo screens were running on a laptop, which would explain the slightly lower resolution than what we were hoping for.

Personally, I'm in the camp of taking a slightly lower resolution with less lag, a higher frame rate, and high onscreen character display, any day of the week.

I don't think it'll happen either, but then again... it's probably worse for the game to be scrapped because of failure and not technological advancement. I'd much rather tell people that my game was outpaced by technology then people don't like it.

Am I the only person who doesn't suffer from the condition of finding graphics amazing when they're released, then changing one's mind and saying they look horrible a few years later?

Even PS2 graphics look good to me still...

I don't know if you've heard or not, but that's just not true. Graphics on the PC version will be better than the PS3 client. I also heard the drop rate will be 5% better too, but that might just be wishful thinking.

The graphics on PC will be scaled back because of PS3. They will be better I agree, but not as good as they could and would be.

I'm so confused... Why is everyone happy with graphics upgrades? That was NEVER the problem with the game.

I've been playing since release and I've finally decided to quit, even after the combat was made better and the dungeons that were implemented were fun. Why? Because when your progress is hindered due to a random number generator that is configured with a very low probability, you are NOT rewarded for your skill; you're rewarded for ignoring the message at the beginning of the game when you log in, peeing in a bottle and crapping in a bed pan while you sit there glued to your monitor.

Where the **** is the new generation of MMO's that we've been eagerly awaiting? The ones that will truly reward those that are GOOD at the game? I'm ashamed of you SE.

Actually, the graphics are now the number one problem with the game. I don't know a single person who plays who doesn't crash on a sporadic, yet consistent basis.
As for the "Golden Content", I would say wait and see what they have in 2.0. Expecting anything before then is a little pre-mature. They already said many of the quests and details of the current game are going to get rewritten. And that there is the level cap raise coming @ or after 2.0, as well as new Classes and Jobs, as well as alliances.

As well, there are VERY few good players in the game as it is. The large majority have the same cookie cutter send everything at it for the highest DPS and win. No matter what they design right now, it will just be DPS trolled into oblivion.

If you doubt me, get a party together to do a dungeon raid with a paladin tank...

Just because you have a Word-A-Day calendar doesn't mean you shouldn't also read the definitions.

Sorry, too many years doing QA.

There are such things as sporadic, consistent errors. They usually involve race conditions (which causes the sporadic nature), or random factors (such as multiple user input, or system resource issues).

In the case of the bug I am talking about, walking around in Ul'dah, if you notice your character starting to stall out in moving, and you don't immediately stop moving and wait for the load, you will crash. There is a level of randomness to the bug.

So, yes, I apologize for using two contradictory terms to describe something, it was not meant to be a flame, however, it is definitely something that everyone I know in the game is familiar with, so I assumed mentioning it would be understood.

It happens when you enter instances, it happens when you run around Ul'dah, it happens when in SH parties. Anything that is really busy, with a lot of objects moving around the screen. And it usually is isolated to a couple people at most crashing at a time.

sorry for offending.
