Oh Mai Gawds!! This thing is the most useless piece of garbage i have ever encountered <.< Please Squenix do tell me that you are fixing your crappy update from 1765 by the time 2.0 hits!!

On another Note! Finished updating the game, luckly i just directly downloaded the files from a site, and just ran the updater to install/confirm/we it does.

But do fix it SE! 2 years! 2 Years! Fix IT!

The birth of King William IV of England threw us all off in 1765; give SE a chance to catch up.

@Ostia
Pick the answer you like most!

Maybe it`s:
"SE Updaters help to separate the dedicated, hardcore players from the casuals."

Or what about:
"Every minute wasted on improving the updater = less content, because, like, the people responsible for the updater also design the storyline and battle content."

Yet another classic:
"Just be patient. I don`t remember where I read this, but a recent interview stated that 2.0 will come with trans-warp server pipelines."

And finally:
"I can`t describe the satisfaction of logging in after an 8-hour update marathon. It`s sublime."

yeah the updater has never stopped sucking. I've never once gotten a remote connection, only locals, and it goes at the speed of slow. I've just used utorrent, since that seems to work in 1/8th of the time.

I told you not to play 1.0, as it wasn't ready to your liking. But hey Ostia, what do I know?

I know you said to hold out till 2.0 Ult! But come on it's been more than 2 years, still the updater is the same crappy updater that it was in beta/release.

@Rinsui Lmao! Priceless i think its another Option:

This updater will weed out the none hardcore unworthy people to play this gem, and only the truly great will give us their MONAY!

I don't see why they would waste resources on an updater that's for a version of the game that's to be dumped in a few months. If it's still the same for the 2.0 client, I see a reason for uproar.

I'm not sure why an updater would have to be tied to any particular game, beyond a bit of text, graphics, and the code telling it what to download and what executable to launch. If SE has a better updater, roll it out now. If they don't, write one.

How do you know it will be any different ? Because they release pretty pictures every so often ?

Did they not had a welcome back campaign ? And they still had this updater ? Jesus! Yeah don't waste any resources on showing any improvements to the players that are coming back, just release pictures and "Wait till 2.0 miracle patch will fix it"

Because Square-Enix is treating it as such?

Like I said, if it's not fixed at 2.0, then it's done for anyway.
