Amongst all the changes recently, I read that Anima flows like wine. Where?

Because I'm all tapped out. I read that I can use DoL and Hamlet to get more Anima, I don't have access to the grade 5 spots.

Is there any other way to get Anima back quicker than 4/24 hours?

I'm hoping they do away with anima with 2.0. It cheapens the experience and reduces the perception of playing in world that has size/depth.

Make smaller zones, increase other modes of travel.

One could hope I guess.

I just want Automated travel between camps, like a chocobo or wagon that just auto-runs to a designated camp.

It's not that I want to be there instantly, I just want to be able to get up, grab a drink, and not have to navigate the same route over and over. It wouldn't surprise me because they are taking a lot of things from modern mmos and this is a staple.

I don't mind if they keep Anima, as long as they make you actually visit the aetherial gate by foot first this time around.

You can turn in light kidney ore, supple spruce branch, or young indigo herring. These can be mined, logged, or fished up in certain areas around the world. Nanawa Mines outside Uldah now has mining points inside that the kidney ores come from. I believe around camp nine ivies in Gridania is where the branches are. These are turned in to the Hamlet defense NPC outside Aleport,Hrystmill, or Gold Bazarre. A stack of 10 of any one kind nets 4 anima. I believe a 10 stack of +1's is 6. A sucessful level 45 caravan run also grants a stack of 10 ores or branches or fish depending on what area you are in.

I completely agree with you. Anima has seemed like a hastily implemented solution to travel problems since the very beginning, and it would be nice to take it out and replace it with better, more interesting options.

This is the perfect solution, really. Also, I'd love to be able to ride my chocobo-drawn wagon, peering down my nose at the peasants walking in the dust outside. (ಠ_ ರೃ )

I was having a similar complaint about anima regeneration and my LS mate told me to do chocobo-caravan runs to regain some anima? I cannot confirm if this works because you need to have enlisted with a grand company to do those runs and I have yet to do so. :(

Maybe... someone can confirm this?

They indirectly do. When you complete a caravan (at least the r40, not sure on r20) and you don't lose any cargo you are awarded with 10 of the same items which are either Young Indigo Herring, Spruce Brances, or Kidney Ore. If you turn in all 10 of these items into a militia quartermaster at any hamlet, they will reward you with 4 anima. You must make sure that you turn in all 10. If you only receive 9 or less for the caravan then you will be unable to turn them in for points as they only take 10 at a time.
