Now come on... that's a fake obviously. But the part about the (real money?) "character booster" was shocking indeed ^^

Edit:
HUH?! NO FAKE? Is SE really that desperate for a quick buck?

I could've sworn I already bought FFVII for PC. I think I ran it on Windows 3.11 Smiley: lol

***** P2P and F2P, P2W is where it's at!

If you pay Square Enix $10,000 you get a new version where Aerith lives past the first disk.

The collectors edition comes with seven hundred 5 1/4 floppy disks with which you install the game, giving it the feel of XIV's updater.

Oh crap, I'm going to be busy with all the threads about people who spent thousands of dollars upgrading their PC, now going back to 386DX! I hope these parachute pants are static-free Smiley: grin

They already released it on PC, and you can even emulate it on PC..... why do a re-release if nothing new is gonna be brought to the table......

OMG. This is the worst gaming news I've read in a LONG time. Square has to stop this crap, they are losing integrity and ruining the legacy of their games.

If there was ever a time for JRPG and/or FF fans to boycott something, this is it. Why belittle something like FF7 with these lame features? Kids who never played it growing up are going to download this to see what it's all about and since nobody has the attention span to play challenging games anymore they are going to buy all this crap and never get the real experience.

Pathetic. Almost makes me want to drop my FFXIV sub haha.

FF players love FF7, what's the point having people that love something if you can't abuse that?

I loved FF7 (as most of us do/did I guess) and I find this kinda offensive how blatant it is. I hope they make no money from this ptw shovelware.

Perhaps it`s sort of a test run. You know, like:
If pay-to-win makes some cash for 7, it`ll certainly make double that cash for 14!

Well, I was wrong. Square Enix has proven that, with that last remaining sliver of creativity from the golden days, they actually can devise a way sink lower.

Why pay to win, when you could already win by using cheat codes and spend no money...... Also is there anything new ? or just those achievements ?

I wasn't making a case for pay to win, just pointing out that it's new. As far as any information goes the only things that are new are achievements and the boosters you can pay for. Outside that, you're getting the same thing you got almost 20 years ago.

Blasphemy! You must be older than 26 years.
The cool kids know: achievements and gamer
scores >> gameplay and fun.

And they are the panacaea for games without
content. Just add a few crazy "achievements",
and you can stretch the effective playtime by
factor ten thousand.

But if it takes 130 hours to maximally increase those useless numbers by my name, then that makes current-generation games last nearly 140 hours, d00d! Progress! >_>

Thank you for that. I was already starting to feel really, really old, because I just couldn't manage to see what pride is to be gained from "achievements" like [Super-clicker: Awarded for clicking the same button 10.000 times in a row during crafting.] or [Notorious camper, second rank: Awarded for losing a 8-hour tab-targeting compettition by less than half a second.]

Basically it's like in the military: because no sane soldier would want to for the wars initiated by some fat politician groper, fat politician gropers all around the world give out medals of honor. [You defendez your country 10.000 miles away in a warz I started: two stars.] [You tried to defendez your country, but accidently blew up a primary school: Collateral damage. One star.] [You defendez your country by ******* on PoWs: Well done, but unluckily the Geneva Convention prevents us from awarding stars for it.]
