Hello,

I just reinstalled and updated this game after being gone since its early days. From what I have read, a lot of the issues with it have been fixed and I'm interested in trying to pick it up and play again. One of the things I'm noticing is I don't really know what to do with myself. I have logged in a few times, walked around, and logged out. I guess I should work on leveling up, but I'm not sure if this is still done solo or if parties are now the norm FFXI style.

Where/how would one level up a class in the mid 20's? If party is the way to go, is it like FFXI was?

Thanks.

I don't know if there's a list, but use this to find your own stack of mobs in a given range http://mooglebox.com/thanalan/index.php

Generally you do Leves until 30s. At that point classes like Archer or Conjurer may try to gather parties together for faster leveling on their end, so you can arrange them yourself if you wish.

Mostly though, many clases can do leves or solo until their late 40s in which they start getting into parties at various beastmen camps.

My recommendation: Find a Linkshell - most will have a small static or love to duo, and you'll easily get into parties that farm for tapers or headbands needed for Ifrit and Garuda runs respectfully. They can also help you with things like your Job Quests, as well as a teaching you the ropes of the things that will occupy you until 2.0.
