Am I eligible to the legacy campaign?Follow

I read that you need 90 days of a cumulative subscription to be eligible. I also heard that unless you subscribed for 90 days before 1. July you wouldn't be eligible for the campaign (On Square Enix's website there wasn't any 60- og 90 days option by the way).

So here's my situation. I stopped playing the 18th of march. So my question is am I eligible, and if so how should I act? And also is there a set deadline ? Any answers would be appreciated.

You were paying from January to March 18? They started payments on January 6th? So I think you need 1-2 more months? If it's one month left on your legacy timer you may be eligible if you re-subscribe and play another month. If it's two months, not sure.

Doesn't matter when you stopped playing, it matters how many months you subbed for. If you paid for 3 months before 2.0 then you're fine. If not, you're out of luck.

Official info is here.

Thanks for the quick response.

My whole point by saying that I stopped playing on the 18th of march was that during that time (from January to March) I've accumulated some days that counted towards the legacy campaign. That's a little more than two months of payments. Does this mean that I only need one more subscription of 30 days and I'm eligible?

I'm completely oblivious as to when the 2.0 beta actually starts, that's why I'm asking.

when you log in (should be able to get to the character screen without a current sub), it shows a legacy badge in the top left corner over you character. I had the badge weeks before I got an email confirming my status.

Yes.

But we don't know when the game is going down for 2.0. Re-sub, get that last month out of the way as soon as you can if you really want the legacy benefits.

You get legacy when the third month is paid for. Not when you have subscription re-activated.

I see. So this means that when those initial 90 days have passed, I should see the legacy badge?

Mine appeared the moment I resubbed for the third month. The legacy banner will also appear on your FFXIV service account page.

And we do know roughly when the servers are going down UltKnightGrover, end of September til sometime in October. 1.0 will apparently run during Alpha testing which will happen around that time and then go down permanently for 2.0 Beta testing.

Give it time, it might not show up right away. You could also trying contacting SE about it. Don't think this is the first time this has happened..

If we are all correct in assuming you only need 30 days more, then yes you are eligible. You will not see the legacy badge until all 90 days are up i.e. when these next 30 days are over.

And given SE's general tendency to not meet their own deadlines, I guess it's save to assume that
even if you have more than 30 days left to pay for, you should have plenty of time to meet your quota
until 2.0 finally goes live. -.^/

I'm going to say the badge only pops up after the days are up isn't necassarily true, I got my badge 2-3 days into my 90 day subscription, started paying after Welcome Campaign purely for Legacy Campaign. It just seems to be random when the badge shows up, I'd say give it a few more days and you'll probably see it if you indeed only needed 30 more days payment.

Any ideas if you can still get Legacy if you pay for 3 months now? I know they said the deadline was over a week ago, but I imagine they aren't interested in dissuading people from paying for 3 months of service and I have my doubts that 2.0 beta is beginning any time soon.

Not that I'm going to. But it's nice to have the option of still getting Legacy status if, on a whim, I decide to take the plunge.

Thanks for all the replies, I appreciate it.

I received en e-mail from SE yesterday, and I now see the Legacy Badge on my character creation screen. It turned out I just had to wait for a while before it had to appear, like one of you suggested :)

No, I'd say if you haven't started paying by now there isn't a chance of getting legacy campaign. Supposedly there are less then 3 months till beta will start (supposed to be in September) and I'm sure they'll stop subscriptions before beta starts I highly doubt you'd be able to get all 3 months in before the deadline, that's why the last deadline of June 30 was pretty much your last warning that if you haven't started paying by now you aren't going to make it.

And congrats on the legacy status OP, I freaked out a bit when mine didn't pop up till a few days later myself.
