I know this can be an old topic, but i just recently came across something i thought to share with everyone else....Now remember this is no way guaranteed, but something i thought some might find interesting.

Use this website and look for FFXIV and it can give some idea on how your system stands up to this and many other online games................Hope this helps!!!

Not sure why this was sub defaulted, it looks legit.

Am I missing something?

I didn't rate, but I'd assume that it's because it's pointless to try and benchmark for a game that isn't running an optimized engine. Even if it does give someone an idea of how their machine will perform in XIV, that all gets thrown out the window with 2.0 so... just a hunch?

Its personal preference and all, but yes we need to educate WoW players that this is OUR game, these are Characters and not Toons. Time to beat that into them one at a time.

Actually, I'm curious if they're going to release a V 2.0 benchmark during the alpha or perhaps the beta. I'd love to see a more accurate assessment of the performance of my system.

#6FilthMcNasty, Posted: Jul 08 2012 at 6:05 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) A lot more pressing issues on their plate at the moment. I wouldn't be surprised if they passed on it; not only because it eats time but also because it would expose just how poorly optimized the first offering was Smiley: oyvey

Yes, we know that now. On the date that thought was posted, they had not yet made the announcement.
