This year marks the 25th anniversary of Final Fantasy. And what better way to say Happy Anniversary than with a FF box set? That weighs 11 pounds? And costs US$445?

The box includes the PlayStation disc versions of all the numeric Final Fantasy games from FFI to FFXIII. It also comes with a Crystal ArtWorks art book, special music CDs, a movie showing 25 years of FF, among other goodies like a Moogle in-game earring for FFXIV.

The "Final Fantasy 25th Anniversary Ultimate Box" box will be out on December 18 and is priced at ¥35,000 ($445). Pre-orders end on September 30.

I'm pretty if that Moogle earring allows you to quadruple slot any gear with materia with 100% success once a day, FFXIV will no longer be in the red...

Maybe 100% guarantee 1x per month at the fastest, I think it'd be a cool item ^.^

What's that, like 17 (counting the -2's) games? FF1-9 10-1 10-2 11 12-1 12-2 13-1 13-2 14. If so, that's every game at an average of 26 bucks. That's not that bad really, especially for big FF fans. Many companies do special sales for big number anniversaries, so this doesn't surprise me.

Considering a copy of Final Fantasy 2 just sold for $50,000... 26 bucks doesn't seem bad... except... are they releasing it in the US?

You do know that not all Final Fantasy games are 25 years old, right?

And that, sometimes, a game can be good despite not being released during the current fiscal quarter?

I guess it would be a better deal if it included the newer games and/or the spinoffs, but why is it missing the rest of the games?

Actually is just the main series, there is no X-2 or XIII-2, and only the original XII not the zodiac one.

Also the average game in that collection is PS1 games, wich do not sell for 26 dollars.... More like for nothing, since you can DL them off the net, or buy them for 10 dollars in PSN <.< I am far more interested in all the complaining people will make, once they see, you cannot play your 445+ dollar games on your ps3 because of backward compability lol

This isn't likely to be localized and released for NA/EU players. For those players, not only do they need the regional versions of the consoles(at least the first two iirc, can't remember if PS3 plays imports) but they also need Japanese lessons to be able to understand them. This isn't a swipe at SE or the FF franchise people. I'm just considering what you would need realistically to be able to enjoy this as much as you did the localized versions of the games you could find much cheaper elsewhere as others are suggesting...

It may surprise you to learn that every PS3 ever made has a built-in PS1. In fact, the very first PS3s had a hardware PS2 inside as well, though they took those out later to lower the cost.

The box looks crazy cool! I think those that buys that box already owns most of the games in the series, therefore I don't think value per game matters a lot but more what else follows in that box. Is that FF3 on a UMD drive I'm seeing in those pictures?

$450 for an art book, a DVD and a couple of music discs? To each his own I guess. Yes, that is FF3 on UMD Smiley: dubious
