So, can we all take a few guesses on what will be with one or the other or both? I am really excited for the PS3 release and can't wait to see what I get for buying the CE. I got the PC CE version. I don't think it would be the same as the old one but I could see a security token being a part of it... Hmmm. Anyone know, have an idea, want to take a guess?

Ill say

In game item, maybe the Onion Helm alone or with another low level item
Security Token
Some kind of development art, in a bonus CD, poster, book or something
Leve case or something similar, a lot of PS3 games come with Steel Book cases now

anyone else?

Not sure if they'll risk a CE for PC again or not... I'd hazard that PS3 might have one... but I'd like to HOPE they don't use the same items (surely they aren't that daft...) I'll be buying on PS3 but I would only get CE on it if it were different obviously.

I'm one of the few that has been waiting for the PS3 version since the game was announced. I haven't played FFXIV yet at all and can not wait to try it.
I guess I'm one of the blind ones who would buy a CE even if it offered the same as the V1.0 PC CE.
I'm excited for the game, and really hope that the RR takes off!

Hopefully they'll be better than the original PC CE. That was one of the most lackluster CE's I ever bought. Smiley: dubious

Well if WoW expansions have collector editions, I don't see why FFXIV couldn't.

SE will probably will make a CE edition for both PS3 and PC. Plus they probably will give the same items or similar items. If the new CE edition has better items than the original a lot of people are going to be **** including me! The CE edition game items Asura Bindings, Onion Helm, Garlond Goggles and Hermes' Shoes are still available in 2.0. So I image there is just going to be updated items from the original CE with 2.0 in mind.

I see possible items like 2.0 game art, the current 1.0 CE game items, security token and probably a journal an a new map of Eorza. I don't think is going to be something extreme compare to the original.

It would be nice if they'd offer bonus items that don't include buddy passes. I'm tired of people asking for them. The ones that are left obviously will not be given away. I hope it's something that disappears with time.

I'm assuming they'll do it a lot like they did the 1.0 release. That is, a mouldy thermos, some YouTube videos burned to a DvD, and an artbook of mostly released drawings for 2.0.

As much as I love XIV and GW2; having purchased the CE of XIV (my first ever CE of anything) made my want to take a dump on there front door... really. I hope the reward they are hinting at is beyond a rumored "Glow of the Echoes" whereby you constantly can have a colored aura around you.

Like Final Fantasy XI, the game specs will be extremely high for the time, but in about 5 years, an average machine can run it on max settings with little to no issues. Tanaka also expressed interest in making a benchmark program available.
