A friend pointed out to me that Newegg had A Realm Reborn available:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Order=BESTMATCH&N=-1&isNodeId=1&Description=Final+fantasy+xiv&x=0&y=0

I know the release dates are probably made up, but still it's exciting Smiley: nod I might have to buy a copy for the PS3 when it comes out for when I don't feel like sitting in front of my PC and playing.

My wife is definitely picking up a copy of the PS3 version.

Kinda sad the PS3 version is 60 bucks, and the PC version is 30... But, since you can get an old copy of 1.0 and upgrade it to 2.0, it's probably the best idea for them to have it at a discounted price.

Smiley: oyvey I dont get it? You won't sit in front of a screen which is connected to a PC, but you will sit in front of a screen connected to a PS3?

The price on ps3 is 39.99 on amazon so we'll have to wait a bit longer until we learn the actual price.

I know you smart asses think that I have control over every room in my house, but you'll be shocked to learn I share my living room with my wife and 3 kids, none of whom are enthusiastic about a giant PC tower sitting out there, especially when I have an entire room dedicated to the office I share with my wife. Seriously, what is wrong with wanting to sit in my recliner sometimes and at other times wanting to play at my desk?

I'm not quite sure why people found anything wrong with your personal preference either. Yes, you can connect a PC up to a TV. Let's say, for example, that the PC is in the Study/Bedroom/Misc room and the TV is in the living room, why on earth, would you go about moving systems around, when you could just purchase another copy to use with the device already connected to the TV, like, most consoles are?

Seriously, I don't get why people decided PC is the only way to go, when it has been announced since day 1 that it was coming to PS3 too.

I thought I was making a funny joke.

I will be buying the PS3 version as well, for trophies and hassle-free big tv usage.

With WiDi-enabled TVs sold these days, however, and wireless keyboards, mice, etc. we're probably not far off from being able to use PCs from any room in the house without the need to move anything. Well, anything heavy, that is.
