For my husband's first birthday after he got his PhD, we all pooled together and got him a really nice executive leather high back chair.

The effect is ruined because he refuses to replace his $30 big lots desk that has a giant hole in one side. I dunno, maybe when he gets tenure I'll get him a new desk...

This is my fancy mouse: http://www.evoluent.com/

Cool looking mouse, but I have clown hands so it probably wouldn't work out for me. I use a basic mouse with the sensitivity cranked up so I don't generally move my wrist to play anyway. I guess I'd have to try it, but the mouse you linked looks like it would actually require more motion.

Its personal preference and all, but yes we need to educate WoW players that this is OUR game, these are Characters and not Toons. Time to beat that into them one at a time.

I should get one of those. My desk is an awesome roll-top, but my chair is just high-end office. It's nice and all, but it doesn't complete the look.

Never confuse your inference as the listener for an implication of the speaker.

Good games are subjective like good food is subjective. You're not going to seriously tell me that there's not a psychological basis for why pizza is great and lutefisk is revolting. The thing about subjectivity is that, as subjects go, humans actually have a great deal in common.

My desk is an open air cubicle from Ikea, made with the 16 square grid shelf with an attached plain desk. The desk is huge, probably about five feet across, which I need because of the ginirmous 22" dual 1080p monitors I have on it. (Already the top four shelves are filled with books. The row below that one, as well as the top of the whole thing, both tend to have cats playing Occupy Bookshelf.)

Only bad thing is that while I was able to get the underneath rack for the wires, I can't get a keyboard shelf that fits (the desk is two inches thick...) And my chair would be too short even with a shelf, I think. Smiley: lol

I used to have a roll top, and I loved it dearly but no monitor space Smiley: frown My dad is using it in his office now.

This thread is a little Nerd-y already so I'll just add a couple things;

1. Game immersion - TRON (the original), need I say more?

2. A recollection brought to rememberance by your photo. Don't laugh too hard! When I was in college we had NERF guns like the one on your book shelf. If you were unfortunate enough to be the last one to wake up on the weekend it was usually your fate to be attacked by a barrage of bullets from everyone in the house. Eventually, we took to sleeping with weapons under our pillows to defend ourselves in the likely event we were suddenly beset upon.
