My name is Serru. I am a newbie to Final Fantasy XIV, but I am extremely excited about it's launch and I am looking forward to making new gaming memories and new friends within the expansive, stunning world I am sure the game will create.
As a new FFXIV player, I am looking for a Free Company that will accept my lack of play-time within Eorzea and be willing to deal with my initial noobiness while I learn the ropes. Despite my lack of experience with this game in particular, I have a wealth of experience in gaming that I shall list below!
I played FFXI for about two years, but the bulk of my gaming experience lies in the 7 years I played World of Warcraft. Much of this time (approximately 5 years) was spent raiding on the bleeding edge of content - competing for server-first (and sometimes world-first) kills and achievements. I played a holy priest (healer) for nearly all of this time, and achieved several healing world records on numerous fights (particularly in Wrath of the Lich King) as well as accolades that include server first/special titles (Death's Demise, The Immortal, Grand Crusader, etc) as well as other shiny things. I raided with 'vodka' of Alterac Mountains (top U.S Alliance guild during the time) during the most intense period of my progression career, and raiding there was my proudest achievement. I have always pursued my class with the highest level of dedication and interest, and the time spent practicing and learning is evident in the skill with which I play.
As you can imagine, raiding on such an intense schedule can drain you pretty quickly. Between the long hours and extremely elitist attitudes (which I do my best not to mirror), you burn out. In FFXIV, I am looking for a group that intends to pursue end-game content with a respectable level of interest, but my main focus is a group that has a wonderful social aspect, is friendly, and is interested in creating an amazing environment for it's members to enjoy the game in.
About 3 years of my WoW career was spent in a leadership role of some variety - raid leader, guild leader, or officer of any variety. If your group is seeking an experienced raid leader or general officer, I would be happy to lend my skillset should it be required. :)
