I see FFXIV collectors edition comes with a security token. My question is since the SE account we use for FFXIV will be the same SE account we used for FFXI (im guessing) that means my FFXI security token will work with FFXIV (im guessing) so if I get the FFXIV security token with the collectors edition then does that mean and activate it does that mean Ill have TWO tokens for the same game or will my old token (the FFXI one) be deactivated and replaced with the new token (the ffxiv one) which will then work for both FFXI and FFXIV?

Old one will be deactivated.

I would wait till the battery dies then switch it out.

Also I think they have a security token app now for smartphones which makes the physical token sort of obsolete.

Haha yeah I had one for years np with the battery myself but a lot of people reported battery problems... so it's probably prudent to wait to activate it.
