So confused about the 2.0 transition (Sorry in advance).Follow

I've been away from FFXIV for about a year now. I purchased the normal edition around 6 months after it's initial release. I no longer have the client downloaded due to a reformat, and additionally no longer have my discs. So my questions are:

A. Does having the original game allow me to join into the Beta currently or at any stage?

B. Is there some sort of early access to the game for people who owned it previous, and if so, am I eligible/when is it?

C. If not eligible to the question above, I have seen all this about the "Legacy Campaign" requirements, can someone explain that to me as well?

D. Where can I download FFXIV 1.0, and will it auto update to 2.0 once it's release?

Sorry for all of these questions. I've looked for answers, I honestly have. However I have a strange eye condition that makes it painful for me to filter through large amounts of words on Forums and such.

A: I believe if you have/ had an account then you'll get in phase 3 next month
B:Legacy members get early access. also if you pre oreder the new version
C: Must have paid for 90 cumulative days after they started charging $
D:You can't download 1.0 but will receive 2.0 for free when it launches

Thank you so much. Does the early access let you in on August 27th, or sooner?

One more question, though. I recall being able to get 1.0 via torrent. If I am indeed given access to the beta, will there be a link in e-mail with a download for the client? Or would I need the 1.0 client?

Edit: Can you suggest somewhere to pre-order? Or can you even pre-order now? I absolutely hate Amazon.

Official launch is on the 27th so early access will start before that . 1.0 client is useless now , it's pretty much a whole new game. there will be a link that takes you to the beta forums to download the new version in an email.

If you owned version 1.0, you will not need to purchase ARR. if you choose to play on the ps3, you will have to purchase the ps3 version, but you will still get the pc version free.

"B:Legacy members get early access. also if you pre oreder the new version "

What does being a legacy member mean?

"If you owned version 1.0, you will not need to purchase ARR. if you choose to play on the ps3, you will have to purchase the ps3 version, but you will still get the pc version free."

Does early access come if you only owned 1.0? Or do you have to be "Legacy"

Legacy = Subscribed for at least 90 days during 1.0

Early access is for Legacy players, and people who pre-order ARR. If you played 1.0 but never hit Legacy, you will need to pre-order the new version to get early access. (I personally think this is BS, everyone who bought 1.0 should get early access seeing how we payed for a broken game, but that's the way it is.)
