Give use Triple Triad (never could understand Tetra Master) and implement it into the actual game letting you be able to bet gil, maybe get rare item or have arena/tournament matches with no prize at all but just for fun (and the satisfaction of saying you won the "world championship" or w/e) you could build your deck through gameplay (normal enemies might drop cards oryoull find em in chests, harvesting (which wouldnt make sense) etc etc, rare cards might be found on BCNMs, NMs, raids etc etc.

Now THAT would be cool.

I think they were thinking about adding this to the golden saucer. Im not sure how we would get the cards but I like your idea of getting them from bosses. I would like to add that maybe even low lvl instances would drop them. Make it really rare so people of all lvls would still use the instances for other than helping a friend.

regular enemies should also drop the non rare cards so that ppl can at least build a decent starter deck.. i shouldnt be 100% completely dependent on raids/bosses/instances

Triple Triaaaaaaad!!

Man I spent so much time playing Triple Tried in FFVIII!

This would be such a good thing to put in an MMO! My god, it would actually be amazing!

I don't know if I'd play a lot, but it'd be cool to collect cards. I'd imagine they'd come from random drops and the higher level bosses would rarely drop them.

I've always wondered why they don't do this in game? I feel like it would be an incredible way to pass time during all those times when you are sitting around waiting for X to happen or Y to go to the AH and buy something so you can do Z. Especially considering it is such a quick game, it would be an amazing way to such kill time.

I wonder if it puts some sort of technical strain on the system, which I could understand being the reason it's not in game.

I never got the massive love people had for FFIX cards. FFVIII, while having it's issues, was still a fun game and still has the best card game for me. Only FFX's blitzball topped it. Triple Triad indeed!

I preferred Tetra Master, personally, but I would much rather see a "real" trading card game akin to Magic: The Gathering, Pokemon, etc. where cards have different functions and there's more emphasis on deck building.

Never confuse your inference as the listener for an implication of the speaker.

Good games are subjective like good food is subjective. You're not going to seriously tell me that there's not a psychological basis for why pizza is great and lutefisk is revolting. The thing about subjectivity is that, as subjects go, humans actually have a great deal in common.

With the Gold Saucer planned I'd be surprised if some form of Tetra Master/Triple Triad didn't make it in. It's pretty popular.

Personally I want to see the boxing game from FFVII make a comeback...

Shouldn't be THAT difficult to implement. I mean, I could play freaking Go in WorldsAway fifteen years ago.

I think triple triad, all chocobo games (hot & cold/racing), even though I hated it sphere break, blitzball, and even slot machines would all be a lot of fun

I think if they did slot machines like Borderlands 2 it would be cool. For those that never played, you could win cash or gear. The gear ran the spectrum of crap to awesome, and every once in a while the machine would spit a grenade out and you would have to run for it. Instead of grenades it could be an instanced fight with a good reward, would make playing the slots much more interesting

As long as the Gold Saucer is better than that sorry excuse for a casino in FFXIII-2 (Serendipity), I will like it. We had to buy DLC just to play poker as Sazh. Come on.
