64 views and not a single person knows how the materia system worked in 1.0?
Keep in mind that whatever you read here is all going to change in 2.0. It was a system that was kind of deep, but also tedious. From my understanding it was easy to get tier III materia slotted. But after that you had to spend lots of time and money to attempt tier 4 or 5.
The materia system is going to be revamped to be less tedious like the crafting system has become, but I have no idea about how it will be done. The depth argument will be made about if 1.0 or 2.0 is more deep just as people argued that the first iteration of crafting classes was deeper while the other side argued it was tedious. But regardless, these changes are coming.
I want to know if materia is going to be destructable similar to TERA crystals. I didn't want a death penalty. But if I have to choose between gear breaking completely or regaining experience. I would probably choose the death penalty since it only cost time and not money.
