Question about playing 2 accounts on PS3 and PCFollow

My roommate and I both want to play FFXIV. We have 1 PC that can run the game and 1 PS3 that can run the game. I have checked out the info at the lodestone here, here, and here, but I am still quite confused as to what I actually need.

Here is what I have:
1 PC
1 PS3
1 Square Enix Service Account (from v1.0)
1 pre-ordered FFXIV:ARR for PS3

We want to play together, but (here is where things get tricky) we also want the option of switching systems. Sometimes he will play on the PS3 and me on the PC; while sometimes, he will play on the PC, and I will play on the PS3. What will we need to make this work?

This is what I think we can do, and I hope I'm not wrong.

1) Download and install the FFXIV Client using my Square Enix Service Account from v1.0. Now I can play on PC.
2) Under his user name on the PS3, register the pre-ordered FFXIV:ARR registration code. No he can play on PS3, and use his user info to logon to the PC.
3) Buy a second registration code for the PS3 and register it on my PS3 user name to my Square Enix Service account. Now I can play my character on the PS3 and PC.

Now we should be able to play both of our characters on both PC and PS3.... right?

Yes, you need separate Square Enix accounts. Only one S-E account can be tied to a user name on the PS3. One registration code needs to be used for one account. If he has his own Square Enix account and his own copy of the game with a new registration code, then you'll be good to go. Sounds like you have it all figured out Smiley: nod

Yep, you are all set. Two accounts are required, but either can be played on either system.
