So I saw the list of which jobs start in which city. I plan on being an Arcanist but I want to be Gridanian as opposed to Limsa where my guild will be. Is changing nation something we will be able to do early on? Is it going to be similar to how it worked in FF XI? I'm Lalafell and I am really into the nature-y settings. This is the first time in an MMO my chosen class isn't matching up to the city it starts in. ><;
Correct. However, you can start changing class at level 10.
If you really want to be Gridanian: Just get level 10 Conjurer, fly on airship to Limsa, and unlock the Arcanist class from the guild when you get the opportunity. If they still keep the same requirements from 1.0, you'll still be able to ride the airship from level 1.

Thank you for the response :) Sounds like a plan. For the brief duration I played 1.0 I was a conjurer from Gridania, so I guess i'll do that again until I can make my way over to Limsa for my actual desired class.

Do you have the said list? I heard about this from a couple of people. I was concerned because myself and a few of my friends are going to play together when it launches and we want to start in the same area together.
Airship is now unlocked at level 15, but I was able to get from 1-10 yesterday without trying very hard, so getting to 15 should be doable within the first 24 hours.
Well after 10 is getting harder to level up. But even if you cant go via airships you can use from boats to foot. I believe chocobos rental open at lvl 10 too. (1 chocobo for 10 minutes)
