My friend just gave me his unused beta key but I don't know how to enter it. I tried going to the link in the email to enter my code but the website isn't working. Can anybody provide me steps on registering my code?
Servers are down till next Friday you will have to try then.
Doesn't matter if the servers are down he should be able to sign up and download the game.
When you say it isn't working what do you mean? It doesn't load? If that is the case try it a bit later they might have it down for maintenance as well.
If it says something about the region or something then your beta key is for a different region so you need to match your keys region with the account's region you are making.

After entering my username and password it takes me to a page that doesn't look like it's loading properly. Kinda looks like a table of contents, Site Areas, Settings, Private Messages, etc. Then it says Japanese Forums, English Forums. If I click any of the links it just takes me back to the login screen. There is a message on the screen that says, "You could not log in because that service account has been cancelled."
After entering your uesrname and password where? In the beta forums? There was a dev post that was saying they are having issues with the forums so anyone that can't log in should wait and try a bit later.

I have bin getting that same screen trying to get in the XIV/lodestone forums today. Seems like an error like with Adobe Apache or similar at least.
