I was bored, so I unlocked every class yesterday. Although this information is subject to change, here's a spreadsheet as to which classes will work with which ability.

Thanks for your hard work but there is already one floating around that includes ability descriptions as well as cross class information.

Yea, it's just too early

And of course the *most* "correct" one will have to change by the time release comes around.

The game needs some major reworking...

Different from what the Lodestone says also. Which I had been looking at before these threads started popping up today. Monk, for example, can borrow abilities from LNC & ARC according to that site. These charts have shown LNC & GLD. A case of Lodestone having wrong or old info perhaps. Have the cross-class options been changing along the way?

Lodestone information is very dated, and has been irrelevant since the end of 1.23.

If you look at the chart, some classes do share affinity, but for the most part, everything has been completely redone.

Yea, I figured. That's been a problem since returning after not keeping up with the game for so long. Any info I look up may be dated and no longer useful.

You mean GLA, not GLD, right? (It'll be hilarious if a combat job required something from the Goldsmith tradeskill class.)

Heh, yea Gladiator. I felt I may have been doing that abbreviation wrong, but was too lazy to double-check at the time. Though now that I think of it, long ago there was speculation and even info on the XIV site that talked about crafting professions having roles in fights.Smiley: nod

That only the respective base class (e.g. "Gladiator") can use the skill, not the corresponding advanced job (e.g., "Paladin" in this example).
