Like to ride? You have to complete the main storyline and hit level 20, then join a grand company and get enough company points to buy a chocobo license.

FTFY: You can get seals from doing fates. I never noticed any dropping before doing the above only after.

Are you talking about this little guy in the pic?

I bought him from a vendor on the ruby road exchange in Ul'Dah. I'm pretty sure npc's sell em in other towns; but IDK their location.

The NPC in Gridania selling these is just to the north west of the big Aetheryte crystal.

Fixed what? I never said how to get seals Smiley: smile

FATEs are one way, also the GC leves work as well.

Wasn't talking about seals from your original post you had them reversed, you can't finish the main story line before hitting Lv 20. Then added in the amount of points/seals and where I found them.

From what I can recall the NPC is at a stall outside by the zone.
No requirements - it's an item that you use to call it.

I need to make myself more clear.. What I meant by requirements? What level? Gil? quest? etc.

IIRC, all of the minions I've found (mammet #001, wayward hatchling, and whatever the bomb one is called) are 2400 gil each.

I picked up the mammet because everybody and their brother had the baby chocobo.

Mind you the minions (the little Choco, the mammet, and the bomb) will not fight with you, they just hang out. They have default names, and are just cute little guys to hang out with you.

To get the fighting chocobo that runs along side you, and will engage in combat, you need to get your personal chocobo. Then talk to the wandering minstral for now (the level and quest for the companion is not yet unlocked).

You then use gyshel greens (sp) to summon your chocobo as a companion, rather than the whistle (which summons him as a mount). You can not use your companion as a mount while it is out (you have to dismiss him), and takes a little bit of time getting used to the commands that he has available. But, it is really fun having a chocobo that joins you in a fight.

Yeah, the bombs and mammets are also pets you can get. The mammets are mini robots basically.

These guys are called 'minions' and they are vanity pets that just follow you around.

More are being made for the game:

Goblin and Tonberry will be mine asap. I will collect them all. It's like pokemon ruined my brain with the "Gotta Catch 'em ALL!" slogan.
