beta roadmap question :: Final Fantasy XIV (FFXIV, FF14)

I saw something on it that just doesnt look right... at teh very bottom of the page it talkes about Phase 4 and says:

"- Version 1.0 service account holders will be able to download the official FFXIV: ARR
client free of charge.
* Those wishing to play on PlayStationÂ®3 must purchase a copy of the game for that
system"

Umm are they implying PS3 users hav eto BU the game to play teh OPEN beta? I must clearly b talking about something else because that sounds extremely stupid

The way I understand it the ps3 will continue to use the same beta method as now (psn download) up through early access. Once early access is over ps3 players will need the disk/psn purchase after that.

They are saying Version 1.0 characters do not need to purchase the PC version of the game at launch. They will download it. However, if they want to play on their PS3 they need to purchase a copy of the PS3 version. Beta keys for PS3 allow a download.
