So I haven't really payed much attention to the re release of ARR as I played Version 1.0 for about 5-6 months before I left it. And I want ARR to be 100% new to me when it releases and I don't want to ruin it with beta its how I work with most MMO's. But I am started to get worried as Phase 3 just ended and I have yet to receive any email for a beta key or anything about accessing ANY of the betas. I have only received a few emails about the re-release and world Migration so I know SE has my correct email. I bought the CE of Version 1.0 and payed well over 6months if not more of game time and just curious as to why I am having this issue. I try to log onto loadstone forums but it wont let me as I have not logged into the game in the last 30 days. Im kinda stuck and not getting anywhere I have tried Email support and cant seem to get the second option for Chat support near the end of the "next" support Station. I just want to get on this before the game is released so I can receive all my Legacy / CE perks for the re release.

Sorry for bad grammar / spelling.

Thank you ahead of time for any help that is given it is much appreciated

Phase 3 is not over and did you gain legacy status or did you just play when the game came out? Legacy is

If you didi not qulify for this than your just a regular member of 1.0 and should ahve gotten a key by now. I would apply to the beta incase that was a pre req for getting akey. But if you want the game to be new and fresh than dont worry about the key and just wait till phase 4 when everyone can get access.

also a way to get chat support is to lie about what your question is in the drop down menus till you see chat.

Well if you log into the game it will tell you right away that you are legacy with the meteor emblem.

That just shows if your character was made before ARR. It doesn't necessarily mean that you're Legacy.

Legacy has too many definitions so it gets confusing.

If you bought and paid the original CE, you are a Legacy player, who has at least one Legacy character on a Legacy server. The ARR collectors items will automatically be yours because you bought the CE. There's no need to get into beta to claim them, and in the third phase all changes are getting wiped so haven't missed a thing.

Now there's this other Legacy thing called the Legacy Subscription Plan. That is not automatically given to Legacy players, you had to pay for 3 months of a subscription to FFXIV in 2012 to qualify. Some people refer to this plan as to what it means to be Legacy, so it gets confusing for 1.0 players who don't have the plan as to exactly what they are entitled to. But you won't be able to get the special rate or special chocobo that goes with it.

Hope that clears some confusion.

um your giving wrong information. 1.0 CE owners are not legacy members you are only legacy if you PAYED for 90 days within the time period i posted above. Once you did that than your "legacy" and get the payment discount due to helping development when they needed the money.

If you have the meteor emblem in the SE Management site then yes, it does mean you're legacy. I wonder if he meant to say SE Account Management instead of the game.

This is the easiest way to tell IMO:

Go here: http://www.square-enix.com/na/account/

Log in, find "Select Service" on the left side, click that. Then click Final Fantasy XIV.

If your screen has this logo, you're legacy.

Xoie's information is right. Legacy characters are those that can only exist on a legacy server. If they have a legacy character but not a legacy account, they can pay the normal price like everyone else but can only play their old character on a legacy server.

If someone has a legacy character but not a legacy account, they're still a legacy player, technically. They just don't get the legacy discount and the legacy account perks.

Since he said "in game", I thought he meant the meteor tattoo.

That's for the Legacy plan, but if you played 1.0 at all, your characters will be on Legacy servers and restricted from going to Fresh Start servers even if you don't have the plan. Your characters will also have a mark on them indicating they are Legacy characters who survived the apocalypse, even if you don't have the plan.

So there is this concept of Legacy that doesn't involve paying $9.95 a month or riding a slightly singed chocobo. I really wish they had come up with different terminology to better distinguish this, but there it is.
