I am the community lead for Demented Asylum. We are a small community of gamers who enjoy.. well playing games. I am starting a division (linkshell/FC) in FFXIV. Here are a few highlights about our guild.
- Friendly Adult casual progression guild. (Several couples in the guild)
- We focus progression but not at the expense of fun. There is a lot to experience and we will see it all.

- Been gaming together for a little over 2 years.
- Structured Gaming. All rules are laid out and fair for the individual and to avoid drama. (We are Drama free)

Hey everyone! I have been a member of <Demented Asylum> for quite a while now and If you are looking for a relaxed atmosphere this guild is definitely the place for you. After raiding in several top-ten guilds back to back I realized I wasn't having fun playing these games anymore. I wanted to be able to look forward to logging on again.
A friend recommended <DA> and it was the breath of fresh air I needed. But don't let the relaxed atmosphere fool you. We take progression seriously and are very competitive with other semi hardcore guilds. We just have much more fun doing it and don't /gkick the first time you miss an interrupt

Recruitment is going great! Crafting linkshell is set up. FC is set up. I couldn't be happier with this beta turn out. too bad it all gets reset. Come join us for some final beta phase 3 shenanigans!

One more day for beta phase 3. Come join us for some shinanigans. Tonight was see how far we can go night. Lol. Ran through all the high level 40 zones. Got some good Screen shots. Pann should have them up some time tomorrow.

Hey everyone! I just recently joined Demented Asylum at the start of phase 3 and it has been a great experience. We are based on Leviathan Server and at still receiving new recruits each day. We are casual group that still seeks end game progression and also accept casual players who aren't looking for end game but still have guild event activities outside of raiding. Greetings,
Wandering through the internet gets me to interesting places. I would like to get a head start on talking to folks about FFXIV.
I've been slowly building up hope for FFXIV to be a decent challenge, with a fascinating world, and a fun experience altogether. I have not yet been accepted into the beta, now pinning my hopes on open beta. Provided I enjoy FFXIV's mechanics I am looking for a group of players to get along with and sort of dedicate to. Is there any way I could meet you folks before the release? see if we would be a decent match?

P.s. The current trend of tossing players into a teleported dungeon, letting them plow through crap and dispersing is ****. Please tell me that FFXIV will have group content challenging enough to require people to at least actually talk to each other.

You are more than welcomed to check out our website through the link provided. We are a what you could call a casual to semi hardcore raiding guild. We are in no rush to be server firsts or anything, but want to progress while our members are still having fun, and not feeling like its a job. We accept casual members and crafters as well who are not into the whole raiding thing. We plan to have event nights outside of raiding like crafting or fate farming etc. I just recently joined the guild myself meeting them through phase 3 beta and was very happy to find such a close group that helps everyone out but isn't the same old RAID RAID RAID group.
To answer your question the Duty Finder has it's ups and downs. The lower level dungeons you can really do without much communication due to they are teaching you party dynamics. We as a guild often just partied up together and used the duty finder to simply instantly teleport us to the dungeon as a group. Even if it's just 2 guild members in a party it really speeds things up. In the beta test we found that once you get to level 30-35 is when the dungeons start to become the real challenge and communication and such is really required. We look forward to working together and helping others out to progress through the game.
