[NA] Ten Thousand Needles - Recruiting on CactuarFollow

#1 Jul 03 2013 at 6:48 PM Rating: Decent
Hello Everyone!

I am looking for some adventurers to join up with the FC/LS I will be creating on Cactuar. I led and followed in various LS in FFXI from 2003-2011 and the best part of the game was the experiences I shared with the friends I made in game. I want to be a part of that again and hope that you can help!

A few things about myself and my group might help you gauge whether or not this is for you.

I am 27 years old, married, and have a 3yr old son. I am reliable, friendly, and experienced at leading guilds. My wife and a few of my friends will be playing with me as well and their MMO experience ranges although they have all reached end-game in at least 1 MMO. My friends are all 21+ and are mature at times. We take our time seriously but we also like to have fun. We are looking to start a group that will be tight knit where we all know each other and can trust each other with our lives (at least our characters lives).

Name: Ten Thousand Needles
Server: Cactuar
Hour of Operation: Primarily Evenings, 6-11pm CST. We are mostly split between CST and EST time zones.
Voice Chat: We have a Teamspeak3 Server set up. You must be a member for access.
Website: Ten Thousand Needles

Thoughts on...
Ranks - Our rank system will be very basic. We are all in the game together and we will have a system in place for organizational purposes.
PVE - We will do our best to tackle all the various events the game has to offer.
PVP - We will have some members into the pvp although our main focus will likely by PVE.
Groups - The game is meant to be played on groups and as such we will treat it this way. We will be focusing on playing as friends and getting to know each other.

Member Expectations
1. Real life comes first. You will never be required to attend an event over something in real life.
a. If you are in-game and asked to help with a scheduled event you need to help out. There is a difference between being online and not attending and having real life matters to attend to and not coming.
2. We expect our players to check the forums semi-regularly to keep up to date on events and the happenings of our group. This will be a great place to collaborate with others as well. Not everything we would like to accomplish and plan can be done within the game.
3. We expect the Code of Conduct to be followed.
4. If there is a problem you have with anything FC/LS related you will talk to the leadership so that we can address it.
5. Enjoy the game. Experience what it has to offer in the company of friends.

Information on our philosophy.
We are a group of players dedicated to a common goal. Our goal is to have a fully functioning Free Company that can complete everything the game has to offer while remaining a tight-knit community where everyone knows each other. The greatest part of MMOs is the community providing you can find the right one. Our Free Company will remain on the small-medium side to foster friendships and provide cohesion between players. In our group you will not be just a faceless name. We will become friends and complete what this game has to offer together. We will tackle end-game content once we reach level 50 but we are not concerned with being the "server firsts." We will have voice chat available but it is not required. It will provide you with a better link to your fellow players so it will come highly recommended.

If you think you could be a good fit or have a question post here, PM me, or apply on the site. I check around frequently and will respond as soon as I can. So in case you missed it here is another link to our site. Thanks!

That summed up everything I was looking for. You've got the perspective I wanted, the hours are about right, and there's not an embarrassing name yet. But being part of a completely new group was what I wanted more than anything. I thought about creating my own ls just for that purpose. So, yeah, sign me up.
