This almost mirrors my experience.

It took about 10-15 mins to get into Satasha as a GLD. Ironically I think once SCH or whatever the other healing class comes in it will lower the wait times for every one.

Its also nice how easy the first two dungeons are. As a newbie tank ( usually a DPS) it was cool to be able to learn as I go. However Copperbell was significantly tougher and really I felt that the success of the group really depended on me. Immediately I learned that a well timed Flash and MP mitigation is the difference between life and death.

As far as the DF is concerned it is a great tool. Granted I'd much rather party with a static or consistent bunch, but so far I have nothing but good things to say about it.

Was I the only one who found the search function and found tons of people seeking for party each time I did a dungeons before Duty Finder. I leveled Archer in beta 1&2 up to 35 via party only.

I swear, while seeking/finding party member for dongeons, I saw mutliple shout of leader looking for a tank or healer and there was ALWAYS at least 2 person with their flag up on their tank and healer job but was either crafting/gathring/leveling a different class in the next zone.

Never took me more than 3 minutes to make a party from scratch and that was only because I was polite and sending tell before inviting...

How do you set your party flag, etc.? I couldn't find that spot, but I didn't bother reading the manual to find out either :p

Social List

This first tab is your party (or only yourself if you aren't in a party). You can right-click on your name and choose edit. This allow you to put your flag up on multiple job at the same time, put an away status, a comment, etc.

Last tab on Social list is the search player function. you can search by language/name/job/level range and of course, status (seeking).

So if I'm looking for a tank for a dungeon (in the first and second beta), I would search for a gladiator only, seeking for party, between level 15 and 20. Always found between 2 and 5 player doing various stuff. Checked the comment to make sure that he was looking for a TT party (Tam-Tara) and send a tell.

Shouting for party never worked in FFXI (or almost never), but doing search like this was an habit.. so I just did the same thing...
