Food and potion stackingFollow

Is there stacking for food and potions?
Example: Lets say I want to eat a hardboiled egg, can I also take a high-potion of strength? And then can I also chug a potion and then a hi-potion (since they have cool down times) if I need it? Or do they cancel each other out?

Food and pots can betaken together and the +stat pots use the CD and only last 15 seconds. Only 1 pot can be taken in the 3 min time frame and it dosent matter if they override because it would never happen anyway.

Remember that it's 15 seconds because they're just intended to be used for burst points in fights. They're ultimately another cooldown, just one you need to have a ready supply of.

Food has no cooldown, all potions of the same type share the same cooldown and they all have a native cooldown, which is odd but they're going the generic MMORPG route.

You pop a potion you can't pop a hi potion or mega potion or elixir nor can you pop stat potions or status removal potions so you're basically stuck choosing either restore HP or get rid of a debuff or get a few extra points of stats.

Theo I understand that but the poster I quoted made it seemt he 15 sec burst pots are on a different cd than other potions

For me they were. Everyone mentions a 3 minute cooldown on potions but I was able to use potions/hi-potions every 60 seconds and ethers every 60 seconds (like the potions state). Their timers weren't shared for me. They'd show a 3 minute cooldown and ethers would be "greyed" out, but after a minute would pass they'd light up even though the rotation cooldown indicator would be 1/3 of the way finished. Could have been a bug, but this lasted the entire phase 3 for me. I managed to solo a few FATEs with some dungeon gear simply because I could use the pots every minute. I was always able to fit in two hi-potions within a Convalesence recast (120 seconds) so I was always confused with everyone stating all potions had a 3 minute shared cooldown.

The lower level "boost" potions were 3 minutes though.

And by cooldowns I meant like abilities. I haven't seen anything akin to a 30 minute/60 minute buff from Alchemy yet.

I hope they make the Buffs more responsive in P4/Release. If you have several of them to use at once to maximize effectiveness you end up losing out on 2-3 seconds of the first buff while trying to spam others.
