Guardin - Moogle EU - English GMT FC - Raiding & SocialisingFollow

#1 Aug 03 2013 at 12:54 PM Rating: Decent
Timezone: GMT
Language: English
Server: Moogle EU
Website: http://guardianeu.enjin.com/[1]
Group Focus: Endgame raiding and levelling, gathering, crafting, enjoying ourselves!

A Brief History: Guardian was founded as a World of Warcraft guild during the Wrath of the Lich King expansion. We worked our way through a lot of the content, clearing almost all of the hard modes and thoroughly enjoying the time we spent together. Towards the end of WoLK various members went elsewhere, some pursuing real life and others moving to separate servers. A few of us kept in touch and have continued to play various games ever since. We're mostly based in the UK and as such function on GMT time zone, however anyone is welcome as long as they can attend events and fluently communicate in English!

Why us? I like to think of us as progression oriented yet casual friendly FC. We realise that not everyone wants to spend hours on end playing games and are happy to accommodate those that don't. We simply ask that when you do play with us you give us your full attention and do your absolute best. Our members have a wide variety of experience and come from all backgrounds but we work together to accomplish our goals.

Our Goals: Whilst we don't know much about how the endgame in XIV will work we're planning on setting a few goals for ourselves. We're not the most hardcore FC and as so we don't plan on raiding every night. What we do plan on doing however is as follows;
  • Raiding 3-4 nights a week for roughly 3 hours a night. The schedule isn't set in stone and we hope to work out more rigid framework that will work among many members of the FC.
  • Create an environment in which everyone is happy. We intend to build relationships with every player that's a part of the FC, we also have social ranks for people who wish to bring friends and family into the FC without having to worry about filling out an application.
  • Challenge the top spots for progression. Whilst we are generally quite casual when it comes to raiding and FC events we expect all members to put a lot of effort in. We're not expecting to be at the top due to our relaxed nature but it doesn't hurt to try!
  • Enjoy ourselves! Let's not forget that this is a game and if we're not having fun then what's the point?

  • What We Expect: When it comes to our expectations we're rather lax. We don't expect you to know everything or spend hours upon hours tweaking for that little extra DPS. What we do expect though are as follows;
  • A basic understanding of how to play and develop your character. You must also willing to learn and able to take feedback not only from officers but also from other members.
  • A good attitude. We expect you to be able to work well with others and bring a positive outlook to the table. We don't expect you to be all smiles 24/7 but we do expect you to respect others and try your best.

  • Rules: Our rules are pretty simple;
  • Don't cause drama - if you have an issue either keep it to yourself or (preferably) bring it to the attention of an officer.
    [li]Treat others with the respect you expect to receive.
  • Communicate in English, both in game and on voice comms. We don't want people to feel left out so we are aiming to keep all of the mass chat channels and voice comms in English.
  • Chat is unmoderated and I'm not going to punish someone for swearing or having an opinion that differs from others, if you are easily offended then I'm afraid we might not be for you.
  • Check the website frequently, we'll be using the calendar to schedule events, the news section to keep people up to date and the forums to discuss anything and everything.
  • Bring your best!

  • If this sounds like the kind of FC you'd be interested in then feel free to get in touch, we look forward to hearing from you!
