Can't install Benchmark, haven't seen or found in search...Follow

I can extract the files just fine, but when I run .exe it shows the small black logo splash screen and then gives me the error,

"Cannot write to this folder. Please select another."

I've tried running as administrator, I've redownloaded, I've tried but WinRar and Windows Explorer. Tried different directories. I've never had any issues running 1.0 or ARR Beta, don't know why the benchmark is giving me such headaches...

Any help would be appreciated.

You get 1 file and two folders, after extraction (I just did to my desktop) you should be clicking the single file. If that isn't working try running as administrator. It's possible it got corrupted too which would mean another download.

ffxiv-arr-bench-character.exe is the file you should be running.

Yup, that's file I'm running. I've tried running as administrator and no luck. I have never seen this before and haven't seen anyone else report this issue.

Did you try turning it off and on again?

The computer? Several times. I've never had an issue running the beta so I don't know what the issue could possibly be. It seems like a permissions thing but I'm the sole administrator on the computer and have had zero issues installing or running anything else before or since downloading the benchmark

I don't suppose it's conflicting with something else that's running as well?

Did you run the last benchmark ok? Wonder if it is direct x or something. Have you tried a clean download and reinstallation? Maybe worth a try. What programs have you recently installed and could they be the cause of he issue?

Sorry, but I have to ask the silly questions. Are you sure you're trying to run the program from the extracted folder and not the compressed folder?

Haha, no problem. Yes, I have extracted the files from the zip folder

This is the first benchmark I've tried to run. I will download the the other benchmark and try installing direct x 9 again. I haven't installed anything recently except for Phantasy Star Online 2. But I couldn't run the benchmark before that install anyway.
