Stat reallocation quick question.Follow

I did not really play the beta or 1.0 version and I couldn't find the answer online so...

I was reading Letter from producer 8 and this question had me confused.

Does this mean if I wanted to level a Gladiator and dump my stats into DEF and STR; then changed to a CNJ my stats would still be in DEF and STR and I have to wait to relocate them? Or is the stats job specific?

Stat allocations are class (not job) specific.
