You don't have to ask us, friend. I think you'll probably be fine though.

Just run this baby right here: http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/benchmark/download/index.html

No i was watching some videos on youtube as im dying to play this game. The Benchmark was clocking around 5000 in the videos and in general I have very little clue when it comes to computers so i just wanted to be sure i didnt buy this just to be screwed over. I just like playing the games.

Thanks for your reply though wasn't trying to be conceded.

When you get your new PC, download the FFXIV benchmark program that I linked, (you can even make a character while you're at it) and look at your final score. If your final score is over 7000 on maximum settings, you should be fine to play on max.

That's no problem, you should be fine with this setup. I suggest making sure you have the right drivers and all that jazz. How much did this cost?

Not entirely sure what you're going to use 32 GB ram in a gaming PC unless you plan on editing videos or render 3D models. If I were you I would cut 3 of the ram bricks and put the money into a better monitor.

You won't have any problems running at max. The link below will take you to a google doc that shows what benchmarks people are getting with their cpu/gpu setups to give you a ballpark.

In general if you're primarily a gamer and you don't know what goes into making a good machine, you'd be best served talking to other gamers before you make a purchase, because you could've shuffled your money around slightly differently and optimized a little better for the future (or saved some money). There are more than a few of us who build their own/consult for friends that would offer our opinions.

Overall, it's a solid machine and it will certainly play 14 well, but if your sole goal was to play the game, you probably could've saved a couple hundred pounds and achieved the same gameplay results... On the plus side you didn't buy an Apple :P.

The most important question to ask though... Is... Will it play Crysis?

Was my general thought when I first saw it.

And from my understanding, running dual video cards might not work for XIV at launch, or at least they promised they were working on it. So initial performance relative to the benchmark may not be as smooth once they get it up. Either way, I break 6k on an old system with 3.2ghz dual core, 8gb RAM, and GTX285 of the noteworthy stats on mid-high settings at roughly 52 FPS average, so I really doubt the OP will have issue.

Dual video cards work with the benchmark.

SLI and CrossFire Support
SLI for NVIDIA graphics cards is now supported. Please use NVIDIA drivers 320.49 WHQL or later when using SLI.
CrossFire for AMD graphics cards is scheduled to be supported when updated drivers are made available. A separate announcement will be made regarding driver updates.

Don't see why they'd let you test it on a benchmark only to not release with support. So far, dual GPUs seem to increase the score upwards 40%.

Your system will max out FFXIV easily.

But you should have asked before you ordered. =/

As a gaming rig, you don't need the 2011 socket platform. Would have been better to go with an i7-4670 (or 4770) and a 1150 motherboard to cut down on costs a bit. Also 32Gb ram is a complete waste for gaming, 8Gb is plenty. With the saved money, you could have added an SSD and a better monitor. =/

Oh well, since you already ordered it, enjoy your 9000 score on 1080p. :)

If all he can eek out is a 9k score(which is good enough), then he should do what he can to return it. I get 11k on a system that's 4 years old and probably cost half what he spent. My CPU and GPUs run stock and I only have 4GB of RAM Smiley: clown

Lol Got the exact same setup, except that I haven't overclocked my cpu, nor do I have 32gb ram xD , "only" got 16 and I still hit a good 7500 on max settings.

The system beats the heck out of mine and I was running max settings at 1920x1080 in beta 3 with no problems at all. My system is:

AMD Phenom II x6
8 gigs of Ram
Radeon 5870 (can't remember how much memory on the video card)

The one leg up I do have though is I'm running my OS (Windows 8) and FF14 on a nice SSD drive.

Oh yeah, you're right. For some reason I was thinking about 660 Ti performance when typing that 9k score. >.>
760 should easily get over 10k.
