my question is as follows:

1) do you get to keep the open beta character for release date and including name, any levels/items earned through the beta weekend?

2)how do you pick cities? is it bounded by the starting class you pick/ also can you start game as a crafter like before in 1.0?

1) Yes, assuming there are no balance breaking bugs that will require a wipe.

2) Your starting city is tied to the initial class that you choose. You must start as a Disciple of War or Disciple of Magic.

Edit: See this thread for information on crafting.

1) yes
2) class determines city. No idea.

thank you very much.

Im a bit disappointing on the fact gridania only gets 2 crafting professions while the other 2 get 3 each this sucks a bit lol.

according to the link:

Carpenter- Gridania
Blacksmith- Limsa Lominsa
Armorer- Limsa Lominsa
Goldsmith- Uldah
Leatherworker- Gridania
Weaver- Uldah
Alchemist- Uldah
Culinarian- Limsa Lominsa

do they count the mining/botany/fishing in those also because uldah and limsa would have 4 after that.

Somewhat unrelated, but since other people answered your questions...

Does anyone remember actually picking a crafting class to start in 1.0? I just remembered that the most epic battle I ever encountered was the 3 squids I had to kill on the ship to Limsa. Slowly whittling them down with pebbles until the two people who were supposed to be helping me wiped the tears out of their eyes(from laughing at me) long enough to help out and allow me to actually get to the main city. Ahh, the sweet nostalgia Smiley: lol

There are 8 professions divided among 3 main cities.

8 % 3 = 0 ?

If you can work out the math that allows 8 to be evenly divided by 3, you are the winner of the internets Smiley: glare

Its personal preference and all, but yes we need to educate WoW players that this is OUR game, these are Characters and not Toons. Time to beat that into them one at a time.

Perhaps a new craft will be added in the future to Grid. No need to flip tables over it Smiley: smile

Yes, this is true. However, nothing says you mean business like flipping a table over.
