This can apply for FFXI or even XIV 1.0

Im wondering if there has ever been an LS or FC in either game that catered to ppl who worked "ireegular" shifts?

By that I mean in FFXI for example it seems most LSs events were planned under the assumption that everyone gets weekends off and works (or goes to school 7 to 3) mon-fri 9am-5pm... so how would those ppl who work lets say 3pm to midnight or midnight to 8am or work weekends get to do dynamis, limbus, bomb king runs etc etc?

As Im sure everyone on this boards whos old enough to have ajob knows in teh REAL world not every works mon-fri morning and have weekends off heck I wouldnt say even 30% of the US population does. The only ppl i know that get that lucky are ppl with salaried jobs or high paying ones or ones that had to spend years in college to land, the rest of us "normal" people dont get such spectacular job scheduling.

So that being said has anyon eknown of, heard of or even been in an LS that specializes and doing things on a schedule that would cater to those ppl?

Yeah, if you work nights, you might want to look at an Oceana server.

There was a thread earlier that Tonberry is where a lot of Aussies are going.

I'll probably end up making one such FC eventually. I work third shift through the week so If i want to get content done I'll have to do it from around 2-8PM eastern or after 5AM >.>.

I live in a weird place for TZ's - don't really fit with anyone but closest to EU but play with a lot of NA players in my LS/FC. If you get into a big enough LS/FC you should find people who play at odd times too :)

My last WoW guild raided Tuesday and Wednesday nights... 7-11.

There are groups for literally every schedule you can imagine, you just have to find them.

My LS in FFXI ran events at odd hours as we had players across the EU and Asia areas. Many of those carried over to our FC in FFXIV. If interested can check us out, will be playing on the Diabolos server.

Guess it was just a matter of time before this thread became a billboard for guild recruitment.

But to answer OP's question, I ran a limbus group in XI that I organized events to start after midnight. Many people are willing to be flexible, but you also have to be realistic. Try rolling on a PST-heavy server.

not really recruiting, if he want to apply that be great , if he want to start his own he can , i just showing him that he isnt alone.

he doesnt have to join a jp server and leave his friends when there are more ppl just like him on a NA server

Remember that this game is way different than ffxi. Gone is the need to d hours gathering and traveling to remote locations. This game is being designed to have a lot less talk and a lot more action. Starting events later at night will become much more sensible from a logistical standpoint.
