Was anyone (on PS3) else given multiple options on what type of service account to create? Both of them listed the Beta as the service but they were labled Final Fantasy XIV 1 and Final Fantasy XIV 2. I chose the one with the 2 thinking it stood for 2.0 and now whenever I try to start the game it asks me "do I want to use FFXIV 1 or FFXIV 2" and if I click on the one with the 1 it tells me that I have to register both accounts to play but if I click on the one with the 2 there are no issues. I don't know if it is supposed to be like this or not but as long as I can play and as long as it doesn't come back to bite me in the butt later I guess thats fine.

Sounds to me that you created a second service account. Maybe the wording of the first question was misleading? It actually asked you if you want to connect your Beta service with your existing first service account or if you'd rather create an additional service account.

IDK, I just don't want to get billed twice or lose my progress at launch. That's my biggest fear.

Yeah I think I did the same damn thing. I think all we need to do is that when the time comes to start paying, just be sure to put money towards the one you want to continue service on. I went to the SE main account thing, and sure enough, there are two active service accounts. I'm not too worried about it though. Smiley: lol

Yeah this happened to my fiance.

On mine I had to go delete my 1.0 toon before making a new one.

I got that, but I selected the first option, as the second one said something about the characters not being moved over...or, at least I think it said that? Was kind of rushing through so I could start actually playing, so I didn't pay a whole lot of attention... Smiley: oyvey

I think I saw that option as well, although I rushed through it myself. This being my last time playing an FF since 11 (my first beta), I only got one option. I picked that one.

I had a beta option for Windows, but I elected to create a new one that was the beta option for PS3. I don't plan on playing on PC unless I can get a more powerful video card than what I have now.

Where did you go to see that? My SE account is only showing my copy of FFVII that is linked to it.
