This happening to anyone else?Follow

When I make a arcanist or marauder and I finish the cut scene on the boat the game always crashes to desktop. When I make a character with a job at the other locations they load up fine. Is this just due to a lot of congestion from others starting there making it crash?

I'd expect you to get some kind of error message such as a time out or such. Have you noticed if it happens in the same place or does it appear to be random? If it is always in the same place, could be some kind of graphical glitch or a feature you have selected in settings that your hardware either doesn't support or has trouble with. I'd make sure your drivers are up to date, especially sound and graphics above all. Also, try kicking all the graphic options to their bare minimum and see if that gets you through (assuming updating drivers doesn't help) I really am going to have to go against it being the client as it should have been caught by error handling and spit out some kind of message. To me, sounds like Windows is terminating it for some reason.

Make sure you have your windows updated. There was an update which they have fixed all ready
that was causing the game to crash during the opening cutscene.

Double checked all my drivers and up to date. Just install my GTX 760 yesterday and everything is running great. I turned all the settings down in the game to see if that had any effect. Each time I get done with that long lame unskipable cut scene goes black little wheel comes up in lower corner spins a few times then blam back to desktop. Never had any issues when I had my HD7750 installed. I played my archer for about an hour then it shut off again also. I am guessing some kind of issue with my new card?

Just ended up uninstalling and doing a fresh install and that seems to have fixed whatever happened in the first install.
