When trying to use my EA pre order code I had to log in to my SE account, one thing struck me as weird.. it only asked for a username and password, usually my SE account also asks for my one time password as Ive had it since the days of FFXI. But anyway I logged in (the login and password were already saved on this pc) then I looked at my profile and it shows i created the account on the first of this year and it was an EU website (despite me being in the US) and that i had no games registered.. whereas my normal SE account has at least 5 games if not more registered and is quite old (i.e wasnt created this year)

so after doing some research it would seem the account Im think of isnt called just an SE account but instead a SE MEMBERS account which inded did ask for my one time password and if i could log in (its not working for some reason) im sure it would show my registered games and everything else. So n SE account and an SE members account are two different things? Is there a way then to link FFXIV to your SE members account and not this"empty" SE account?

The SE account I think you've logged into is one that just keeps track of the games you own. It's not the same as the members account and isn't used to be able to play XI or XIV.

the members account also keeps tracks of the games you own so if the other SE account does so as well why does it say i own no games whereas SE members account says I do?

You can add games like Tomb Raider and Hitman to that one. It's like Club Nintendo.

hmm i wonder how the security token will work in FFXIV then since it wont be required to log into SE account like on FFXI (which is how i thought it would work)

Well new question according to some of the posts on that SE forum other people had the same question i have (about their other games registered not being shown etc etc), however they said that for the FFXIV preorder code only that required the use of the SE account site... wheras when they registered for the beta and linked accounts it was done through the SE members site, as if to suggest that this other SE site is just exclusive for redeeming pr order codes and nothing more as the Se members account handles the other stuff, can anyone confirm this?
