I know everyone was frantic to log out in an inn or sanctuary...but do you think the counters are actually on and ticking for leve allowances and rested xp? I for one hope they are...more so for the leve allowances than anything.

During downtime for P3 they worked just fine. I dont see why the same doesn't apply here.
I know in the previous betas they did, I would expect them too here also.

I hope so. I didn't use a single leve in phase 4, and I logged out in my Inn, so I'll be pretty stoked if I can log in to 1.5 levels of rest XP and a bunch of leves.

Me too. I read a "guide" to leveling up and it said to save your leves for second jobs and crafting....so I did, hoping it would make the leveling up process faster...
So what is it again...3 leves every 12 hours? So 6 leves a day since the 16th. About 8 days so we're looking at around 48 leves to use...that would certainly be nice.

99 actually, that's IIRC too

99 should be the most you can have. I think you can only have 16 active at any given time though.

Nope, they stack to 99... or they did in phase 3.

Question: If I logged out on my PUG will the rested exp also count when I switch to my LNC? Or does it only work for the one that you log out on?

yea, while waiting for them to build to 99, im going to catch up on all the quests for all the jobs i've got already leveled that i forgot to do before finishing legacy status
Will be awesome if they are. I only played for 3 hours of the first day of P4 so rested XP for all this time will be epic.
Does rested XP max out at all for FFXIV? I know some games do and some don't.
From an implementation stand point, it makes more sense to store a timestamp that gets updated when specific events happen while you're logged in, rather than requiring the server to have to constantly check stuff for your character while you're logged out. So my guess is that leve allowances are rest exp will continue to accumulate from our perspective, even though servers are not necessarily online.
Rested exp only accumulates in the right zones, for example some outposts have it, and the inns do.
To tell if you are in a rest zone a cresent moon shows up over your EXP bar.

Thought that you got it regardless of where you logged out, but more if you log out at a sanctuary.

Then they have the help text for em wrong. It stated 100 during P4 when I got there (And yes I read most of em....)

I definitely didn't logout in an inn. I am disappointed. lol
Could be changed now, I don't intend on saving that many up again. :D
