FINALLY registered....now how to add payment options?Follow

After nearly 100 tries to register the game over the span of two days, now I move to my next challenge: adding payment options. Any advice on how to do this? I can find where to add a payment anywhere. I have no idea why all of this is so convoluted and confusing. If I hadn't been doing research on the internet I would never have been able to figure out where to go to register the game or how to download the client. I purchased the game through SE nearly a month ago and still haven't received proper instructions on how do to any of this.

The game is incredible, but as usual, their websites, customer service, and payment processes are a convoluted mess.

When/where we can sign up to pay subscriptions?

Once the Mog Station is live, it will handle all FFXIV-related services going forward. The Mog Station release timing has not yet been announced.

Edit: please look forward to it

Thanks for the info, greatly appreciated. Amazing that they haven't even launched a way to pay our game subscriptions yet? I find that laughable to be honest. I am extremely pleased with how the game turned out, but they are really annoying their customer base at a very early stage with all of this convoluted nonsense.

Huh, they're not handling payments on the SE account like they do XI now? That's dumb.

Everyone has a month free so I can see why they're not rushing that yet. Though companies do usually want to get paid.

I have gotten emails with pretty clear instructions each step of the way. I'm not sure what is convoluted. They are probably waiting until people who aren't legacy get their product keys before allowing subscriptions. That would be my guess.

Right, it's fairy simple. You just need not to get lost between the Square Enix Account used to manage the Service Accounts for the game, the Square Enix Profile used to register the game and the early access code, at least until those game codes are sent back to the Square Enix account as they were up until a few weeks ago. Then you also have your PSN account which must be linked to your Square Enix account, but it's also linked to the Square Enix profile if you made sure to use the same information so the Square Enix Account is correctly linked to the Square Enix Profile. Then you got your click and pray account used to pay for crysta if you use that. But that's only until the Mog Station is released then it's all gonna change again.

Did I forget anything?

You will be entering payment info BEFORE you're allowed to start using those 30 days.

Is there a test later? Sure hope not...

Purthulium,

I am happy to hear that you have had a more positive customer service experience than mine. I ordered the digital download on July 27th and received my game code straight away and was told I would be notified when the game was available for download. To this day I have received no further instructions from SE or Digital River at all. If I hadn't been reading the forums I would have had no idea where to go to register the game, punch in my early access codes, or know where to download the game. I even called the company and they simply told me that I would be notified, which I am still waiting to happen. For me that's dropping the ball.

As I am highly interested in this amazing game succeeding, I truly hope that the experience of others has been less challenging and frustrating than mine. Registering a product you have purchased and adding payment options should not be a complex affair.
