This game is going to be so awesome. Those empire bases look amazing. I can't wait to coat them in the blood of the empire!

Man... I can't express how much this game looks and feels like a 'True' FF game... The dungeons/instances areas are gonna be awesome...

I am so excited! The dungeons look awesome. I watched the first part and the second part twice. Thank you for making a positive post. I have been going through and reading people's post and there is so many negative comments about the game. I really think that the game is going to be amazing!

It definitely showcases a lot of cool areas after the starting zones.

The Tonberry King sharpening his chef's knife is just about the scariest thing ever.

Crazy to think that was soooo long-ago. That's awesome....

On a side note, I am so impressed with the music composition. I don't care what anyone says, it does not suck. This game is gonna be sick.

I agree! I love 1.0 music as well. People may make fun of me, but I used to just love sitting in a zone admiring the view and the sunrise/sunset while listening to the music. ^_^

My very super old wix page I made for the linkshell I ran in 1.0.... try not to laugh too hard...http://eorzeaprotectors.wix.com/main

Why would I laugh lol, (pun-intended). I like the site... I have my audio 'engineering degree' and did some work for EA in Vancouver back in the day. Thats why I can appreciate the music for this (and most modern games) so much.... It's awesome they spent the cash to get it done right...

Can't wait to hear it 'surround' sound via my home home system...

Hehehe, well... it's not very good, but back then I was so proud to have a site other than a pre-made forum. That is so awesome that you have an audio engineering degree! I really respect that. It is a lot of work, I am sure. It's nice to know that someone else appreciates it because I remember geeking out over the music and people saying, "It's alright."

Alright?!?! It's composed so amazingly!!

Same here. I am trying to play other games, but I just kind of stare at them and start thinking about FFXIV. So then I tried to find people to talk to about it and I guess everyone is annoyed at my excitedness. >_<

I appreciate the work they put into the arrangement and the actual compositional qualities of the music. Most of the samples? Not so much.

As an orchestrator they've actually gotten worse for Square-Enix since FFX with the exception of parts of FFXIII (about the only decent thing in it). The music's awesome but I'd love it even more if most of the real world instrument samples they used weren't so bad lately.

Wow, almost every single dungeon in that reminded me of a place in FFXI.. and that high tech spot looks like Midgar. What a great adventure this will be!

I'd read someone mention the Tonberry King, and when I watched the video...dude's gonna sharpen his blade at me? Aw hell nah!

The areas looked fairly detailed, and looks like quite a trip to get to the main baddies. Can't wait...

Yup, the Empire bases look proper high-tech-fantasy.

And the Tonberry King sharpening his knife ... ON HIS LAMP! How does something so cute-looking become so menacing in an instant?

I'm probably going to need to go watch a compilation of 1.0 cutscenes to understand how the Garlean Empire somehow hasn't conquered the world when they are clearly 300-400 years more advanced. There MUST be an explanation for that somewhere.

My guess? Because Cid nan Garlond...something something? He's about the only thing story-wise you could even use to explain that.

'course, a simple Thaumaturge could apparently destroy Magitek armour on his/her own (going by the "End of an Era" video), so perhaps they're not that big of a deal? Yeah, I don't believe that either...

Looking at these new areas I am floored, this game has been out for - 2 days... if things go well for ARR and if FFXI is any indication we are going to be seeing a whole hell of a lot more in the coming years and that really excites me (*****).
