just to be clear this is a sony issue not SE, the psn store is always doing this crap. More so with stuff like playstation home and the like.

from sony customer service...

"if you were affected you will get a voucher code in your xmb messages early next week. not sure if it's going to take the money out again for it"
he went on and said that he thought it would take the refunded 39.99 or 59.99 out again. he did say it would not be tonight and we will not have EA at the 2:00 pacific time start.
so not sure when but maybe before tuesday. that answer sucks.

another note...

i had a character created from the japanese servers last weekend when 3102 hit. i just tried to login and was able to with that character as my primary who got my pre order stuff. also had a code from a friends cancelled amazon order that worked as well.

Yeah, if you truly cannot go without Early Access, then get the version that you didn't buy the first time and use that download. I'm just going to wait for the voucher though, personally. Early Access isn't THAT important to me...

ya guys just avoid the Sony bs cuz to be frank... they always delay shi. Just buy the version you didn't buy and log on. no download needed. I had 20 in my account and just upgraded. The ETA for the voucher is up in the air. I work tomorrow, but i'm off sun and mon.

Trust me i was on playstation home alot and this stuff happens ALOT with sony purchases. ppl get the wrong items or the items were falsly described. Or something breaks.

I gotta get up for work @ 11:30, but having to do laundry so i may as well stay up for the launch of ffxiv.

Same here! I must say SE was pretty gracious in giving us a free game. Hopefully those who bought the other edition will be able to get a refund or something.

I don't think they could have made that rescue more dramatic if there was a ticking bomb and they chose the red wire instead of the blue at the last second before it read 00:00. Smiley: eek

Just received the XMB message. If you open the attachment it auto-fills a redemption code in the Playstation Store for a new copy of ARR (presumably a working one). It's compliments of SE, no charge.

Anyone else that was affected by this issue have their new code? Calling Sony to try to find out what's going on.

Word around the Internet street is that whoever got the Standard Edition digital download at first has already been granted their voucher. Those who started with the digital download for CE though are still in the dark right now.

Ok, I was told that we will get our refund (which I already have) but not receive the XMB message until some time next week.

Now to decide if I should buy the standard edition to have EA (then apply the CE voucher once I receive it?) or wait it out until next week. But who knows when we will receive the message...
