Macros for changing class/job?Follow

#1 Aug 23 2013 at 1:53 PM Rating: Decent
I never got a change (or I forgot to) during open beta to look into macros.

If there are any, is there a way to use a macro to change class? If so, how?
I like, or would like the ability to change back and forth between classes by simply hitting a macro.
If I'm out in the world using my Cnj/Whm, but want to quickly switch to miner or botanist, I think it would be nifty to do so at the push of a macro.
I know there was the ability to open up the character screen, then go into your gearset panel to change jobs, I was just curious if there was a quicker way, thank you =)

You make gear sets on the character screen to instantly change back and forth as long as you are out of combat. These can be moved to an action bar to be a accessible at anytime on any class.

Yes, that feature is super cool... I used it constantly in the beta. Just remember to update the gear set when you find a new piece of gear or it will equip all of your old stuff.

Wow, awesome, I did not know that.
Thank you, I will definitely be using that feature.
Rate up if I could. =)

Pull up job/set list, click and hold the icon/number, then drag to an action box. It'll create a gray button with the symbol of the class.

On the 'character' screen above your level / class icon there is a notepad looking icon, click on that.
That brings up the gear set screen, click the '+' to add a gear set.
Click on the class/job icon next to the number & drag to hotbar.
Done :)

Hope this helps.

Instead of starting a new thread I'll use this one to ask my question. Can I que up DF on one job/class then switch and play another class while that original job/class is still in line for DF

You'll have to switch back to what you queued with before you can confirm joining, though, so be careful about doing things like fighting longer fights where you can't change class while in combat.
