Faces in character creationFollow

The first couple of times I created a character, I just went down through the option list in order. However, playing around with character creation again this afternoon, I found that the "Facial Features" options are dependent on which "Face" you choose. Pick a different face, and you get different facial features available to choose. I have not seen a game do it this way before. In other games I've played the facial features have been independent of which "face" you pick.

Unfortunately, there still wasn't a beard I liked across any of the different races, clans, or faces. The best was probably a Roegadyn Hellsguard, but I normally don't like the large races. If I was only going to play a warrior, I would go for it, but I plan to try other jobs as well and I just can't see myself as a giant black mage. On the other hand, while I wouldn't mind being a Lalafell for any of the classes/jobs I want to play, I just don't really care for any of their facial hair.

Is there a question here? (not trying to be rude)

You certainly don't want to pick the wrong face like I did with my Hyur highlander (I think?). You make one little mistake and you end up staring at the character thinking "really? is this what I'm stuck with forever?" then I look at my wife......

I read this as "***** in character creation" for a second.

Yeah, one of the many problems with the character creator.

For example my friend chose a specific face on his Miqo'te just so he could have some facial hair, and there's already only 4 available.

I think you also had to choose a specific face if you wanted those stripes on your cheeks.

Anyway, the character creator is totally awful. Probably PS3 limitations. Try to look beyond it, I guess.

No question here, just commentary. I thought there may be others who still hadn't started their characters yet who would appreciate the info.
