ERROR3108Follow

Do you think they will also be fixing the 3108 ERROR??? During downtime..


For some odd reason after redeeming my EA code from bestbuy for PS3 i now have two service accounts and when i try to log into my legacy account it sais this

"This service account cannot be used in the current environment. Use of an account from multiple platforms requires proper registration for each platform"

the 2nd ffiv service account appeared after i entered my EA code .. but i first tried logging in without it since i am a Legacy member .. when i failed to log in i entered my EA code and got that 3108 error i posted above.

Are my EA pre order items going to stay on the 2nd ffxiv service account? since that account showed up after i entered the code? or will it also give me the items on my 1st service account (legacy) .. i have no idea how its even possible to have two..

hey i had this problem earlier today and there are two ways to solve it

one way this is a long way

or the fastest and easiest way is to just get another EA code and tie it to your first service account i did this and it worked like a charm.

you should just be able to to to bestbuy customer service and ask for another

the 3108 error?

but how will i tie it to my first service account? i thought thats what i did to begin with since i only have one account.. that 2nd service account was randomly created after i entered the EA code

let me clear this up i only have ONE square enix ID .. but for some reason after entering the EA code i have two service accounts under that ONE square enix ID..

i have a legacy account so i should have been able to log in without the EA regardless..

its tricky to explain but all the error 3108 means is that EA as been redeem on this account and and is allowed to play. so at the start (i did this by mistake when i logged on) when you accept everything if you hit new account and not your beta or legacy account it will tie that access to the new account. when confirming what server account you want to use you have to make sure you pick the right one, its on the screen right after you accept the terms of service. also before you confirm it will also tell you what service account you are about to access

i hope that helps but just get another code and make sure you tie it to the account you want to play EA on and you will be golden

i will try this and let you know what happens.. thank you. And just to be sure you did this on your ps3 correct? you redeemed your code through account management? and once u logged in it asked you which service account you wanted it on?

well i called bestbuy customercare and made some sht up so they are sending me another code. should i delete my 2nd service account?


& 2nd thing is i already emailed square enix customer support -.- .. will that be a problem lol?

yup i did this on ps3

redeem new code

log in the ffxiv

it will ask you to accept ToS again

now this is the important step.. DO NOT CHECK NEW ACCOUNT.... it should be defulted to the right account but double check the account you want to play is in the white box

submit

and know you are ready to play just pick what account at the start screen you want to play

Awesome !! so what do you think will happen when square enix trys to fix my account ? although i would have already corrected my error...


& did you delete the 2nd service account
?

nope i did not delete my second account didn't feel like going through the trouble, im glad that it worked for you i spent all morning trying to fix this issue and didn't get to play and now servers are down and i have to go to work lol

hasnt worked for me yet because i am still waiting for the EA code to be emailed to me ! but i will keep you posted. i am starting over so maybe i can join your server :]
