there are actually quite a few threads about this already. I was getting the same error message, but now my NA/EU server list won't even pop up. It seems mait. has been extended

Not sure how it can be extended when it hasn't reached the original end time yet?

Well this may be semantics, but it is more a case of them not shortening the original maintenance, than extending it ;)
